Try to imaging situation where you have a large number of records and say - the path to images folder on the server has been changed. All of the paths to the images in the content of the pages would be incorrect and would display a "broken image". The easy fix for all this is to use MySQL REPLACE() function. This tutorial explains how to use it to replace any part of string using this function.
